Benefit Production of "The Importance of Being Earnest"

After much prayer alone and with friends, the wheels are now in motion to mobilize people from around our nation to raise $50,000 for 30 families of the Stained Glass Theatre who have experienced traumatic injuries, lost loved ones and/or total loss of home and possessions after the horrific tornados in Joplin, MO on April 22, 2011.

JOY Drama Group will be presenting "The Importance of Being Earnest" this summer as a 100% benefit production. ALL money earned will go to the families of the theatre.

This is the goal. We want to get 100% of all expenses for this production benefit to be donated (costumes, theatre, etc.) We desire that 100% of donations go to Joplin. We hope that a large amount of $ will be already received before we ever step on the stage.

We will be ready to perform the show by the first week in August. We already have a couple of venues in Wise County but are hoping to expand to other counties.

How can you help?
If you are the owner of some kind of business (be it printing, costumes, artistry, etc.) that would like to donate materials to help put on this show...
If you would like to simply donate money to be given to the theatre in joplin...
If you want to donate time by volunteering behind-the-scenes for the show...
If you know of a church/theatre that would be open to hosting us and allow a performance of the show...
If you would like to come see the show...
please contact us.

If you cannot do any of the above...there is something you CAN do that would be of enormous benefit:
pray.

We are SO excited to, not only be doing this show, but doing it for such a good and worthy cause.
We can already really feel God's hand in it...and we cannot wait to see what the future holds.
